Our Wellness Partners

Mrs. Sarah Kelsey joined our wellness partner program in June 2010.  Sarah is originally from Fort Worth, Texas, and studied music at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston MA.  While singiyoga_picture.JPGng in a summer program with the Boston Symphony, the Kripalu Yoga Center located nearby, was conducting a medical study enlisting members for a study regarding stress and yoga.  The daily yoga practice revolutionized her life, so she changed her career path from opera singer to yoga instructor!  She is a Yogafit certified teacher,  Red Cross CPR/AED certified and a certified personal fitness trainer.  Sarah will be teaching yoga at our office on Wednesday evenings from 7 -8  pm and Saturday mornings from 11:45 - 12:45 pm.  Sarah's motto is that "Yoga is for everybody and every body."  She welcomes beginners and even advanced yoga participants.  Each class is only $10, please call the office to sign up, walk-ins are welcome as space allows.  Dr. Robinson is very excited to offer yoga at the office  for our patients and non-patients alike.  "Yoga is an integral part of any wellness regime, it combines stretching and toning with proper breathing techiniques that everyone and anyone can benefit from."   ** Update: Sarah's last day of Yoga will be September 10th. During Sarah's maternity leave we welcome Elaine Martinez!  Elaine will be conducting classes on Wednesday evening only.  We apoligize for any inconvenience.

Mrs. Kate Dundlow, CCE(BWI) has been teaching BirthWorks for nearly 4 years. She grew up in the Hampton Roads baby_2.JPGarea. She has a loving and supportive husband and two beautiful boys both born in the Midwifery Center at DePaul. She is  very passionate about educating women about birth and the choices available to them.  BirthWorks is based on the belief that knowledge about how to give birth already exists within every woman. BirthWorks classes teach the emotional, as well as the physical work of childbirth, and focuses on building confidence as we explore fears, realistic expectations and the appropriate use of interventions to help women fully prepare for labor, breastfeeding, and early parenting.  2011 classes will be held in March, May, July and September.  If you are interested in getting more information regarding BirthWorks please feel free to check out our website at http://www.birthworks.org/site/  or contact me at kdundlow@hotmail.com or call me at 757-479-1278.
